WARNING! Performing ice dam removal is risking severe personal injury and damage to the roof if not done properly.
Our Arctic Steamer machine will safely remove ice dams without damage to your home!
Don’t let other companies convince you a regular hot water pressure washer will work as well as the Arctic Steamer. While high pressure is sometimes appropriate for melting ice from sidewalks and parking lots, it can cause damage to shingles and roofs. Also, our steamer operates at the optimal temperature of 290 degrees, which results in less water run-off, faster ice removal, and an overall cleaner ice dam solution.
Here is a simple way for you to tell the difference. If the gun on the machine being used has a trigger, it is NOT A STEAMER. It is a high-temperature pressure washer. Why should you care? Because pressure washers take a long time to remove ice. That costs you a lot. Also, pressure washers can easily damage cold, brittle roofing materials.
We can SAFELY remove snow and ice from your roof using roof rakes, plastic shovels, Ice Melt, and the Arctic Steamer.
An ice dam can cause damage to the exterior and interior of your home.
When an ice dam gets big enough, melted water backs up behind it and seeps underneath the shingles. Eventually, it will drip into the insulation and down into the ceilings and exterior walls beneath the eave, ruining sheetrock and paint.
If the ice dam breaks free, it can pull shingles and gutters off with it, and it will damage anything it falls on: shrubs, windowsills, cars, pets, and people. If the roof sheathing stays wet, it can form mildew and start to rot.
